When buying bundles for DSLR cameras, the attraction may be to the pack with most accessories. This is not necessarily the right bundle. You should go for the bundle that allows you to customize your camera to take clear shots at all times for as long as you want. Most bundles are lined up with dead stock items that you may never need.
If your favorite DSLR camera is the famous Nikon D3400, here is what your Nikon D3400 bundles must contain:
Most bundle packages will have kit lens which will serve you well if you are a beginner.18-55mm and 70-300mm Nikkor lens are common for most packages on Amazon. You can make your choice depending on your budget. A high-quality lens will mean you don’t have to buy better ones within a few months.
You may also add a telephoto lens and wide lens if you need them but they are not basics, a bundle without them will still work just fine.
If you are taking less than 10 photos a day, a 16GB memory card will serve the purpose. One file is about 6.7mbs for JPEG and 70mbs for raw videos. The size of the Memory card will depend on your snapping propensity. 32GB and above will give you more storage room though.
Tripods and cleaning kits
The cleaning kits are a must have, they really help remove dust from the frame and lens and keep the camera functional for long. The tripods, on the other hand, can be considered a luxury. Some bundles may have very weak tripods that will literally break your camera with the slightest wind.
Back up Battery
You will need it. Li-on 1230 mAH rechargeable Lithium battery is the most common of all and having an extra one will give you more field time.
Relying on a flash for high-quality professional work may not be a great idea. However, if included in the bundle, test them to ensure they make a difference on lighting for your image preference.
You will find it with almost all the bundles. Just take one that eases carrying the camera around. It doesn’t have to cause a big price difference.
Otherwise, your camera should have 24.2MP DX-Format CMOS Sensor, an EXPEED 4 image processor and a 5 fps shooting capacity with ISO 100-25600. A Nikon D3400 should have a C firmware v3.10 and above if possible for compatibility with most standard devices. Check for Bluetooth and WI-FI connectivity too.
