What materials and services are available?

Ag In The Classroom (AITC) provides training and resources for K-12 teachers that assist them in using agriculture as a vehicle to teach across existing curriculum. Our resources use an integrated/hands-on approach to learning, and are correlated to the State Education Standards when applicable. This is accomplished through:

• Graduate level Agriculture Literacy courses for South Dakota teachers.
• In-Service and Pre-Service training to acquaint classroom teachers with Ag In The Classroom resources.
• "Mission Agriculture" Ag Mag provided to third and fourth grade students statewide.
• Access to resources, lesson plans, technology resources, web sites, science activities and experiments, "experts in the field" as guest speakers, and more.
