graduate credit from will be available for a minimal charge of $50.00.  Renewal credit will also be available.
It’s FREE ... except for your own transportation. There is no registration or application fee. The materials are free and there are lots of them!

Literature is great! But, connecting what is happening in the book to the world around them is terrific. After years of connecting literature, science and agriculture it’s time to share the best activities we’ve discovered with you.  Introduce your students to South Dakota's #1 industry, and at the same time bring science, alive with AGRICULTURE!  You will also take home exciting resources & activities for your classroom.

I don’t teach agriculture.
So, this workshop doesn’t really apply to me, right?

Wrong!

We want to introduce you to South Dakota agriculture and show you how easy it is to incorporate the concept into your existing classroom curriculum, even if you know nothing about it. Agriculture is just that important. Just think about it ... we have to have food, clothing, shelter and fuel to survive, right? We can’t have it without agriculture. It is this understanding and appreciation that we are trying to get across to everyone, especially students.

The materials that you will receive are interdisciplinary. While they highlight South Dakota agriculture, they encompass math, science, social studies, health and nutrition, language arts, music, art, etc. The materials are available for preschool through 8th grade. They meet teaching objectives and are in correlation with South Dakota Department of Education teaching standards.
